Rules of the Games


Armored Combat

Archer / Heavy Warlord Tournament (2 Points)

Gather your forces into combat lances of 6. Remember your combat lance must have at least one fighter and one archer and one non-martial support staff! Archers will have the choice to shoot fighters OR archers, killing of the support staff is expressly forbidden!!!

In this portion of the game we will be chosing sides SCA style.


The Lance
  • Each lance will consist of 6 members.
  • There will be a minimum of 1 Heavy Weapons fighter.
  • There will be a minimum of 1 Archer.
  • There will be a minimum of 1 Non-Martial support staff.

The Fighters
  • Each Fighter should bring a paper shield blank with their device to be used as targets. It should be 8 1/2” X 11”.
  • Fighters that do not bring a shield blank will be issued a 10 1/2” X 13” shield blank day of.
  • These shield blanks will be set up for the opponents archers to shoot at.
  • Shields that are hit on the their device represent a kill. If the blank is the smaller shield on a larger blank the 2” border represents an arm or a leg injured.
  • Fighters will line up at 10-15 yards and their wounds will be handed out secretly. ONLY the injured fighter should know the extent of their injury. Remember to make a showy death!

Archery

Archer / Heavy Warlord Tournament

The Archers
  • Archers bring 6 1/2 X 8 1/2 shield blank with your device to be used as targets.
  • Archers will advance on shield blanks and fire on the opposing lances’ shield(s).
  • Shields that are hit on their device represent a kill. If the blank is a 10” shield on a 12” blank the 2” border represents an arm or leg injured.
  • Archer shields that are hit represent an incapacitating injury and the archer may not shoot the rest of the round. Ever tried to pull a 150 lbs longbow with one arm or one leg!!
  • Archers will start at the 40 yard with arrow nocked. On command the arrow will be shot and the archers will march at cadence to the 30 yard mark and draw, nock and fire on command. Then archers will march to the 20 yard mark and draw, nock and fire on command.
  • Damage will then be determined and action will move to the list.
